Today, Scout, Inc. announced it has released its Desktop Device Interface. DDI is a software application that utilizes your current computer as the input device, giving users flexibility to manage warehouse inventory management functions according to a company’s business practices. DDI can be used in stand-alone mode as a desktop application or in conjunction with a USB based barcode or RFID scanner. “The DDI module is great for businesses that are getting into warehouse management and don’t want to spend additional capital on mobile hardware and wireless networks,” says Michael Drucker, Senior Program Developer. “It gives them a robust application that uses their current computer infrastructure.” Scout’s DDI is available immediately and is a fee based application.
