- Wave Pick:
Greatly improves picking efficiencies in medium to large warehouses, especially those with very dense item concentrations. Using Wave Pick a single picker can pick multiple orders at the same time in a single pass. This feature also allows for structuring bin pick order to move the pickers through the warehouse in the most efficient path to reduce the time spent traveling from bin to bin.
- Wave Pick Zoning:
This feature of wave pick additionally allows for the division of labor across areas of large warehouses. This way multiple pickers can be picking items in their zone/area of the warehouse for the same orders at the same time. Zones are completely configurable and each bin is then assigned to a zone.
- Kitting:
This feature aids warehouses or basic manufacturers in the process of building or creating one type of item by consuming multiple existing items (i.e.: if you have baskets, floral foam and flowers then you can use Kitting to turn those items into flower baskets.). Kits are predefined using the web interface with either specified or dynamic quantities of items to be consumed. A request to build a quantity of kits can be created and issued through the web interface. This process of kitting also moves items into a WIP (Work In Progress) location to help track Inventory that is in the process of being worked on which is a common KPI or Key Performance Indicator.
- Cross Referencing:
This feature allows users to store additional product numbers for a single product. These additional numbers called “cross references” can then be used by device users in processes such as Picking, Packing, Receiving, Moving and more. Examples of other numbers used in cross referencing may include things such as Manufacture’s Part Number, Vendors Part Number or even pre-existing barcodes such as SKUs or UPCs.
